Berniece's Crocheted Glass Lid Knob Potholder / Cover
Berniece from Ravelry made these handy-dandy little covers for her Corning VisionWare cookware, and I liked them so much I made some for my CorningWare Lids. They slip on and off easily and can just stay on in the microwave (don't use them in the oven though)!
Directions are given to make a cover for any size knob.

PATTERN
Notes:
· American terms are used throughout.
· Item is worked “in the round” (do not turn, do not join rounds).
· Place marker in 1st st of each row for reference.
Row 1: In magic ring, ch 1, sc 6 times – (6 st)
Row 2: 2 sc in each sc around – (12 st)
Row 3: (Sc in next sc, 2 sc in next) around – (18 st)
Row 4: (Sc in next 2 st, 2 sc in next) around – (24 st)
Row 5: (Sc in next 3 st, 2 sc in next) around – (30 st)
Row 6: (Sc in next 4 st, 2 sc in next) around – (36 st)
Row 7: Sc in each st around – (36 st)
Row 8: (Sc2tog, sc in next st) around – (24 st)
Row 9: Repeat Row 8; sl st in 1st st to join – (16 st)
Test cover for size. If opening is too small, pull out yarn to remove one or two of the sc2tog and replace them with a sc in each st. If it’s too large, pull out yarn to remove two sc and work another sc2tog.
Finish off, pull center ring tight and weave in ends.
